A summer full of beautiful weddings & parties

What a wonderful summer of weddings we've had! We've travelled all over the country to play gigs at some beautiful venues and really enjoyed being part of every couples' big day. It's a rewarding job when you get to be there for such a big event that means so much to the bride and groom and their family, as you watch family and friends come together and dance the night away.

Some highlights included playing a wedding at Hampton Court Palace for the third time. We also traced the steps of the Spice Girls at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel - they filmed their first music video for 'Wannabe' in the grand hallway of this venue. We sneakily got a photo of us all on the steps - the venue is known to charge a fee for those who want to come in and take photos!

We also played at King's College in Cambridge. We invited our usual guesting sax player - Nick Richards - along, who entertained guests with a solo performance on the lawns outside for the bride & groom's drinks reception. Nick also joined us for the evening performance which is always great - his sax playing is super soulful and adds a lot to our set list.

Of course, the band had a great time playing in London for a corporate party at the Natural History Museum. This was our second time at the museum and playing in front of the large dinosaur fossil did not dissappoint. 90s heart throb Chesney Hawkes played a warm-up set for the party and we did 90 minutes of upbeat dance, rock and pop to keep the crowd dancing into the early hours.

Finally we want to shout out to epic travel company Kuoni - who had us back for the third (!!) time for their annual staff summer party. In the grounds of their offices in Dorking, Surrey, this was a fun gig playing for a crowd who know us well by now! We must be doing something right. But we won't be offended if you want a change for your party next year!
