Why we love being a party band in December!

December is always a super busy time of year for us as we perform at Christmas parties and events across the UK but mostly in central London. We had the pleasure of performing at some amazing venues this December (usually between 10 and 15 shows in one month!) for some great festive parties, and here are three of our favourites!

Tower Bridge London

We didn't think it was possible to do, but we were asked to perform at the iconic Tower Bridge in London for a special Shawbrook Bank exclusive Christmas celebration. A select number of guests enjoyed a banquet inside the west wing walkway (the long bit up high between the two towers) as we set up in the east wing, ready for our performance. Guests were greeted to champagne and cocktails as they entered the east wing and we got them all dancing over the River Thames until late.

Landmark London

We'd googled this venue beforehand to see what was in store and were eagerly awaiting the indoor palm trees and plant life that decorate the inner atrium of this beautiful London hotel. We were invited to perform for a chain of children's day nurseries, who had chosen one of the high-ceiling, exquisitely furnished function rooms that the Landmark have on offer. With a young crowd full of lively nursery nurses, it wasn't hard to get the dance floor going and a full on sing-along with some of our favourite tracks by Rihanna, Beyonce and Clean Bandit going down a treat.

The Queens Stand, Epsom Downs Surrey

We must have left quite a mark last year, because the Queen's Stand on Epsom Downs' Racecourse invited us back for the second year in a row to perform at their exclusive NYE black-tie celebration. This upmarket ticketed event offers guests a three-course dining experience and full-on masquerade party to end the year with a bang. We performed three sets over the course of the evening, with the obligatory midnight countdown and the band judging the best masked attendee. We took a break at midnight and joined the guests in watching fireworks go bang all across London - the view from Queen's Stand offers a wide panoramic across south London, all the way to the city!
